The charming seaside city Calella at the Costa de Barcelona has turned into a meeting point for international choir singers once again to host the first ever edition of SING FOR GOLD – The World Choral Cup!
After exciting days of singing and performing in Calella and Barcelona and a very high level of competition, the jury selected 8 choirs – based on their achievement in the various competition categories – to be part of the final World Choral Cup competition.
At the end, the Akademisk Kor Århus became the winner of the World Choral Cup and got the highest score in the competition with 27,35 Points achieved in the Musica Sacra category.
We can say this very first edition was a great success, and we want to congratulate ourselves with all the 36 choirs representing the astounding number of 24 nations from all over the world! ✨
