Sing Along Lounge LIVE with Simon Halsey

Since May 4, thousands of choir singers from all over the world have been gathering every day at 19:30 CEST on the YouTube channels of INTERKULTUR and the Rundfunkchor Berlin for a “Sing Along Concert ONLINE” and sing together the Requiem by Johannes Brahms – under the artistic direction of the honorary conductor of the Rundfunkchor Berlin, Simon Halsey.

Directly after the virtual final performance of this online singing project, Artistic Director Simon Halsey and several singers of the Rundfunkchor Berlin will meet live for a final conversation: Sing Along Lounge LIVE.

During the live stream the viewers can use the live chat on YouTube to ask questions to Simon Halsey and the singers or share their feedback on the “Sing Along Concert ONLINE” project.

The stream starts on May, 10 2020 at 19:50 CEST!

Seit dem 4. Mai treffen sich tausende Chorsängerinnen und Chorsänger aus der ganzen Welt täglich um 19:30 Uhr CEST auf den YouTube-Kanälen von INTERKULTUR und dem Rundfunkchor Berlin zum “Sing Along Concert ONLINE” und singen gemeinsam das Requiem von Johannes Brahms ein – unter der Künstlerischen Leitung des Ehrendirigenten des Rundfunkchores Berlin, Simon Halsey.

Im Anschluss an die virtuelle Abschlussaufführung dieses Online-Mitsingprojektes kommen der Künstlerische Leiter Simon Halsey sowie einige Sängerinnen und Sänger des Rundfunkchores Berlin live zu einem Abschlussgespräch zusammen: Sing Along Lounge LIVE.

Über den zugehörigen Video-Livechat auf YouTube können Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer Fragen an Simon Halsey und die Sängerinnen und Sänger richten oder ihr Feedback zum „Sing Along Concert ONLINE“-Projekt teilen.

INTERKULTUR Video Award

 

The creativity of choirs worldwide in dealing with the contact bans due to the current Corona pandemic currently has no limits: New technologies are being explored, new ideas for online rehearsals are implemented and even innovative online concerts have already taken place.

 

INTERKULTUR wants to encourage this new choral creativity, give singers a worldwide platform to perform and present their skills:

 

The INTERKULTUR Video Award is INTERKULTUR’s first online choir competition and call amateur choirs from all over the world to participate.

 

Until June 30, 2020 choirs can hand in a yet unpublished virtual choir video with a song of their choice, which will be presented on the new platform INTERKULTUR.TV from July 1 onwards.

 

The Award will be given in the categories “Choirs a cappella” and “Choirs with accompaniment” and the winners will be published on July 15, 2020. An additional Special Prize will be awarded for the best interpretation of the INTERKULTUR motto “Singing together brings nations together.“
