On July 5 th , 2018, the Takoma Academy Chorale took off to
Tshwane, South Africa not yet knowing what a great impact it would be. The World Choir Games, Choirs from each continent, come together to worship and express their specialty. Like
Julius Caesar says, “I came, I saw, I conquered.” That is exactly what Takoma Academy Chorale did, winning in three different categories; two silver medals in mixed youth and jazz, and the Gold medal in spiritual. In addition to a great win, TA continued their journey and their service to God. The TA Choir had the opportunity to Bless the Orlando West Seventh-day Adventist church by sharing their
music ministry during service. They also visited the Orlando children’s orphanage home where they provided supplies and shared encouraging stories with the children. We are truly proud of the Takoma Academy Chorale for bringing home a win but also keeping the Lord at our fore front and ministering in his name.
