EUROPEAN CHOIR GAMES & Grand Prix of Nations in Magdeburg, Germany 2015
Along with the 2nd EUROPEAN CHOIR GAMES the “Grand Prix of Nations” will be held from July 5 – 12, 2015 in Magdeburg – a high-class competition for the best amateur choirs in the world. Up to 120 choirs from Europe and from all over the world are expected to attend the choir festivals. Exciting competitions in different categories, Celebration concerts, Friendship concerts and singing together in and around Magdeburg will give the city a new musical face. For this purpose, Magdeburg, the city at the Elbe River, has excellent concert halls to offer, such as the St. John’s Church, the monastery “Unser lieben Frauen” and the cathedral. Neben den 2. EUROPEAN CHOIR GAMES findet vom 05.-12. Juli 2015 parallel der “Grand Prix of Nations” in Magdeburg statt – ein hochklassiger Wettbewerb für die besten Amateurchöre der Welt. Bis zu 120 Chöre aus Europa sowie aus der ganzen Welt werden zu den Chorfestspielen erwartet. Spannende Wettbewerbe in verschiedenen Kategorien, Galakonzerte, Freundschaftskonzerte und gemeinsames Singen in Magdeburg und Umgebung geben der Stadt musikalisch ein neues Gesicht. Hierfür hat Magdeburg, die Stadt an der Elbe, hervorragende Konzertsäle wie die Johanniskirche, das Kloster „Unser lieben Frauen“ und den Dom zu bieten.
